There is currently no pseudo‑attribute available that can return the external surface area of insulation.
As a workaround, you can create a pseudo‑type UDA linked to a PML function that performs an approximate calculation.
For example, you could approximate the entire branch as a cylinder. Then compute the outer diameter and multiply it by the branch length to obtain the external surface area.
