Issue
Some types of instruments can be installed directly on the pipe without needing to cut it.
The problem is that if they are modeled as INST components, the pipe will be split into two segments.
A typical example is clamp‑on ultrasonic flow meters.

Cause
There are no INST SKEYs that do not split the pipe in two
Resolution
Managing them as COUP (Coupling)
The reason couplings can be a good option is that they use an SKEY — CPWT — which does not split the pipe into two parts.
