AVEVA E3D Design – Piping Catalogues & Specifications Advanced Training (5 Days)

Learning Goals
This training course is designed for Piping Designers and Engineers with experience in AVEVA Plant or Marine Pipework Modelling. It introduces the principles of creating catalogue components and piping specifications using the AVEVA Catalogue Paragon module.

The AVEVA Piping Catalogue Administaration training is addressed to technical profiles who already have a foundation in Aveva software:

Curriculum Overview
Day 1
- Gain an understanding of Paragon and its advantages
- Navigate the Catalogue Explorer to access Catalogue, Properties, Model, and Draw databases
- Develop component categories and components (e.g., Elbow, Tube, Flange)
- Define component Point Sets and Geometry Sets
Day 2
- Develop Part Families and GPARTs
- Assign GPART reference attributes to 3D Models, Templates, and Draw Symbol Sets
- Configure Symbol Key (SKEY) settings for IsoDraft
- Build component categories and components (e.g., Tee, Reducers, Valves)
Day 3
- Learn to create Nozzle Specifications
- Design Branch, Reducer, Nominal Bore, and Specification Tables
- Configure Connection Compatibility Tables for accuracy
- Manage and customize Properties Data effectively
Day 4
- Develop advanced pipe components
- Create and manage piping specifications
Day 5
- Learn how to create and configure automatic bolting definitions
