Learning Goals

The purpose of this training is to prepare project administrators to effectively use the AVEVA Administration application for project creation and management. Participants will learn the core setup and maintenance practices required to sustain AVEVA project deployments.

Curriculum Overview

Day1 : Creating a PDMS or E3D Project
  • PDMS installation and AVEVA project setup
  • Team and user creation
  • Database creation and management
  • Multi-database setup and administration
  • Font configuration in AVEVA E3D

Day 2 : Basic Administration action on an E3D Project
  • Removing phantom users
  • Identifying specific sessions (STAMP)
  • Restoring previous sessions (BACKTRACK)
  • Deleting project history (MERGE)
  • Verifying database status (DICE)
  • Reconfiguring databases (RECON)
  • Defining color rules in the Design module and managing inter-database macros
  • Creating User-Defined Attributes (UDAs), User System Defined Attributes (USDAs), and User-Defined Element Types (UDETs)
